[ Never Die Without Seeing London-1 ]
London is the heart of England. London is a city where tourists flock for 365 days and everyone should see. We prepared a three-day trip route for those who would go for the first time or plan to travel again. In the first part of this series, we will visit the buildings that became the symbol of London. On the first day, we set a course along the River Thames.
1st Day
We start the day with a big parliament building and Big Ben clock tower, one of London’s landmarks, which we are used to seeing in London photos. The parliament building is open for public visits. When you land at Westminster subway station, you’re right in front of Big Ben.
It is a venue for almost all important days of the British royal family. It is one of the largest cathedrals of the world where priests are constantly guided by the fact that they are likely to get lost.
The current entry prices are as follows:
Association members — Free entry.
Adults — £ 18.
Concessions — People aged 60+ and students — £ 18.
Wheelchair users and their carers — Free.
Children — Aged 6–16 years — £ 7.
Aged 0–5 years — Free when by an adult.
Families — 1 adult and 1 child — £ 18.
We continue our route with the London Eye, which was designed for the London Olympics, which has taken a lot of reaction since it first broke the texture of the city but became one of the tourism symbols of the city in time. The easiest way to reach the London Eye is the Waterloo tube station. If you don’t want to use the metro, you can use the bus lines passing through Waterloo. The London Eye is more secluded in the morning and the light is more suitable for taking photographs. If you are coming by parliament, all you have to do is pass Waterloo Bridge by taking plenty of photos.
The London Eye entrance ticket is £ 30 if you get at the door. If you get from the internet for £ 27. You can also get the package versions of the London Eye, Madame Tussauds, Sea Life, The London Dungeon or Cruise tours from the internet or door or from the tourist offices at more affordable rates.
If you are using your time efficiently, you can visit the aquarium next to the London Eye. An aquarium that can be very interesting with giant aquariums, sharks, giant fishes from different seas.
You can buy the ticket on the Internet for £ 37.
We leave the London Aquarium and continue on the river. Take a break at the Royal Festival Hall on the riverfront cultural center and watch free exhibitions or exhibitions if you’re lucky. For the theater break, you can unwind in the next building at the National Theater. You can also taste the food from all corners of the world on mobile gadgets just behind the National Theater. In front of the theater, you may find second-hand sellers.
We continue on the banks of the Thames. If you are interested in modern art, be prepared to visit a 4–5-story art gallery. The top floor café has a magnificent view, a must visit. When you leave Tate Modern, you will see the Millennium Bridge, if you look across the bridge. You will see St. Paul’s Cathedral. London’s largest and still paid. He even writes a door to heaven on his door. Entrance Fees are as follows.
Adult — £ 17.
Concession — £ 15.
Children (age 6–17) — £ 7.20.
Families (2 adult + 2 child) — £ 41.20.
Under 5’s — Free.
You can meet the world of Shakespeare right next to Tate Modern. The building is located next to the Millenium bridge, which is one of the tens of bridges over the Thames river in London. One of the main places you should see if you go to London.
If your trip is Thursday, Friday or Saturday, you must visit this market. Fruits, vegetables, world delicacies, abundant photographic material will be waiting for you. You may be waiting for surprises on the side streets before coming to Borough Market. Borough Market is easily accessible by metro or buses passing the London Bridge. At the entrance to the Borough Market, there is the Southwark Cathedral, the first Gothic church in London and 1400 years old.
We continue on the riverside towards Tower Bridge, London’s famous blue bridge. We recommend taking plenty of photos. You can go inside the bridge and go upstairs. The view from the outside is quite nice. When you follow this route, you must be here by the end of the day. It’s a great opportunity to get the night out of London.
